Hired on initially as a Web Developer, when it was discovered I had Cypress experience I was switched to the software automation team. Working on a range of projects from large scale load testing, github actions automation and Cypress implementation and architecture it was a pleasure to dabble in this field. Through my background in javascript it made sense for me to take charge of and help re-architect the Cypress expansion, transitioning from many false positive failures to practically none and overseeing a tech stack migration from Angular to Vue.Main responsibilities:• Re-Architecting and Implementing Cypress code to eliminate false positives when running remotely.• Aiding with the project migration from Angular to Vue.• Analyzing and Mocking third party libraries (Twilio, Nexmo, etc) to support test runs without incurring a huge bill• Liaise with developers and the test team to update current tests based on functionality changes or additions. A long-standing company with a singular product and focus, this was my first time working with a large-scale pre-existing and surprisingly complicated architecture of which I had no prior involvement. Beepi is changing that experience by giving consumers an end-to-end experience when buying or selling a car; one that’s also fast, simple, safe and fun.As part of the back end development team, I have had the chance to work with a genuine product for the first time This gave me the opportunity to help both mold and contribute to the infrastructure that we provide our front end engineers and internal staff so that they have the best available resources.My primary role at beepi has been undergoing the transition from ta ASP.NET webforms stack into a more modern API based node and react stack. Initially joining Brushfire North as a senior developer, my role organically transitioned to that of a team lead as the company expanded.
