About Anthony Rogers
I am an affiliate researcher at the Space Science Institute studying Space Weather and its effects on our space infrastructure. I specialize in problem solving and trouble shooting in high-pressure environments. A very goal-oriented person, I place all of my efforts into one project at a time in an effort to complete it before moving on and excel both independently and as part of a small team to achieve that goal. I have a strong interest and some experience, professional and casual, with RF design, construction, and research and am currently applying those skills towards developing a new generation of compact instruments to measure and monitor space weather.. As a life-long generalist, I bring a familiarity of a great number of subjects and skills to every discussion and situation which allow me to see and advise on deficiencies and recommend avenues of investigation. I have wide and varied experiences working in the live entertainment industry. These include cruise ships (Royal Caribbean, 2005-2006), regional theaters (Northern Stage, 2004-2005), overseas (Stadttheater Bielefeld, 2000-2001; Playhouse Disney Live!, 2008), and on the road (Ringling Bros., Barnum & Bailey Circus, 2007). My goals for the future include research and development of instrumentation to study the Earth-Sun environment, including working with engineers to design, develop, and test new equipment and instrumentation. I also intend to move into academia in order to teach and mentor another generation of scientists. My primary motivation is to find work that interests and engages me.
