Duties include software development in C#, HTML, JavaScript, JSON, and with strict adherence to documentation requirements, use cases, MVP model, and standard coding practices, including STIG compliant coding. Other duties are working with Active Directory, applying security checklists to beta site servers to ensure compatibility with the application, configure beta network and ensure STIG compliance. Regarded as the resident expert in network system design and protocols including physical layer, TCP/IP, UDP, RTP, VoIP, multicast, VLAN, OSPF, IPv4, IPv6, aggregate links, MPLS, fail over/recovery, load balancing, VRRP, HSRP, 802.1P, 802.1Q, ACL; and general router configurations. Extensive VoIP testing using custom tools in concert with the Sage 925/935 for analyzing packet loss, jitter, latency, and MOS.Responsible for custom test platform made up of Linux and Windows servers with custom written interlinked software working as a unified test tool to mimic thousands of users and servers performing internet related tasks including multicast and VoIP. Responsible for rewriting the software to keep up with emerging technologies. Wrote software automated tool to control Apcon and MRV electronic patch and AC power switch panels. This software is purposed to cause controlled component and link failure/restore events, produce repeatable tests, and remove the human element from the equation. Wrote software that performs real time VoIP tests, dynamically modifies TOS/DSCP and 802.1P bits, tracks packet jitter, latency, loss statistics, and graphically indicates, in real time, whether prioritization is affective.

Volunteer work to develop, document, and prototype an electromagnetic propulsion asynchronous closed loop drive system. This task demanded unconventional resources with the limited funding. To capitalize on the limited funds, manual labor was sacrificed to develop the system from the ground up with discrete components and on-hand Mach435 CPLDs, including H-drives, current controllers, timing and data acquisition electronics, sensors, control logics, and power supply. The only off-the-shelf equipment was a 80286 computer. The prototype was a ring with a series of coils perfectly wrapped around its circumference. I designed and constructed a specialized computer custom software controlled coil winding machine to alleviate the tedious task of calculating coil and wire size, target resistance, and directly controlling the machine winding the perfect coils onto the ring with minimal human intervention. All work was being done at remote facility, separate from management location. Therefore, documentation included periodic video and audio dictation of all significant steps and findings. Video captures and pictures required proper lighting, exact focus, and perspective, so that the management visually understood exactly what was being shown during presentations.
