- Manage the TMC Operations contract and the 24/7/365 management of traffic operations.- Review and approve contractor invoices submitted by the TMC Operations Manager.- Develop traffic management plans and scenarios related to incidents and planned special events.- Conduct reviews of work zone traffic control from a traffic safety perspective.- Bridge communication between NYSDOT Upper Management and the TMC Operations Manager.- Develop and update TMC policies & SOP’s and operations manuals.- Coordinate traffic operations with other Regional TMC’s and partner agencies.- Coordinate TMC involvement in the NY State Fair.- Coordinate NYSDOT’s and NYS Police involvement in Operation Hard Hat events.- Assist with TMC special projects.

- Conduct traffic engineering studies and reviews, including crash data and traffic pattern analyses, determination of solutions/remediation, and the development of work orders and engineering reports.- Developed and maintained tracking tools for managing an average workload of over 300 traffic engineering studies.- Supervise 2-3 engineering and technical staff, assign studies, set priorities, and assure quality products were prepared promptly.- Review traffic engineering studies/designs/reviews/reports prepared by engineering and technical staff.- Prepare technical correspondence for written and oral presentations.- Represent NYSDOT at meetings with local officials and the public.- Review permits, plans, and project development documents and report recommendations for safety traffic operations and improvements.
