Current• Independent sheep nutrition, health, production and management advisory service.• Awareness with clients in sheep management best practice to maximise productivity with their chosen livestock operation.• Establish /finetune clients sheep programmes to maximise productivity in their livestock operation while making the client smarter with their time.• Benchmark clients in sheep performance such as fertility, lambs weaned, weight gain, mortality of ewes/lambs and wool value ranking using Electronic Identification• Create budgets/cash flows to determine profitability of livestock operation, and compare to other enterprises on a hectare basis.• Create pasture programmes and help manage how clients graze their pastures• Establish a 12 month sheep livestock programme so the end result is more lambs weaned, while minimizing ewe mortality.• Identify and measure traits such as maternal ewes, efficient digestion, low maintenance and high to low value fleece all though Electronic Identification• Have individual, group and industry clients.• Represent approx 920,000 sheep ranging in all genetics. And livestock systems.• Create plans for worse case scenarios ( drought lots, preventive management)• Developing of on-farm bio-security plans and monitoring systems.• Develop livestock health and welfare strategies.• Develop and implement sustainable land use strategies.• Help manage risk and collect and manage data through electronic identification.• Objective and subjective measurement of sheep (meat, reproduction, weigh/weight gain and wool) .• R&D with private and public industry• Develop, present and facilitate grower workshops • Facilitate Life Time Ewe Management courses.• Communication to clients and industry via newsletters/articles and email/phone/sms service to subscribed clients for continual support and service.
