I assume this post due to the passing of an esteemed boss, friend, mentor, Yáaca. My main responsibilities are to serve as the primary representative for the Tribe on the Hanford Natural Resource Trustee Council (HNRTC), administrating clean up, long-term stewardship (LTS) and co-management possibilities at Hanford Nuclear Site, and supervising the Tribe’s Air Quality and Emergency Response programs.

I am appointed as the Primary technical trustee to represent the Nez Perce Tribe on Hanford Natural Resource Trustee Council. My immediate duties are to coordinate and collaborate with seven other trustee representative on the HNRTC with the presumption to conduct extensive good faith discussions directed toward obtaining consensus among all Trustees.To collaborate with HNRTC Technical Working Groups (TWGs) in developing a path forward in addressing restoration of the Hanford Nuclear Site.To assist in development of a Tribal Service Loss Baseline Study to document the scope and scale of injury due to Hanford releases.

Much of my responsibilities from my previous post are the same with one exception, I am no longer engaged in Cleanup Activities of the Hanford Site. My focus has shifted to restoration under Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration (NRDA-R). My immediate duties are to coordinate and collaborate with seven other trustee representative on the Hanford Natural Resource Trustee Council (HNRTC) with the presumption to conduct extensive good faith discussions directed toward obtaining consensus among all Trustees.To collaborate with HNRTC Technical Working Groups (TWGs) in developing a path forward in addressing restoration of the Hanford Nuclear Site.To assist in development of a Cultural Service Loss Baseline Study to document the scope and scale of injury due to Hanford releases.To represent the Nez Perce Tribe as an alternate Technical Trustee of the HNRTC.

The purpose of the Specialist is to provide cultural and technical perspective on assigned office or field projects related to the Nez Perce Usual and Accustomed areas, specifically the Hanford Nuclear site located in South Central Washington State. The Specialist is responsible for assisting with the communication and collaboration of project activities with federal, state, tribal and local agencies including but not limited with the NPT Nez Perce Tribal Executive Committee (NPTEC) Office of Legal Council (OLC) Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Cultural Resource (CR), Environmental Restoration and Waste Management (ERWM)and the Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC) regarding the Department of Energy planning, site operation, and legal and trust obligations to the Nez Perce Treaty as retained in the Treaty of 1855 as well as to create positive internal relationship internally. The specialists duties also include Research, organize, analyze and utilize data and information and prescribe professional recommendations/actions to other staff, supervisors, directors, and Council; not limited to: Environmental Assessments (EA), Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Memorandums of Agreements (MOA), Programmatic Agreements (PA), Cultural Resource Reports (CRR), Area of Potential Effects (APE) requests, Management Plans, letters and other documents.And be able to independently coordinate with project leaders and division directors of the Nez Perce Tribe to assure project specific compliance with applicable Nez Perce Tribe Policies as well as external laws, regulations, policies associated with DOE/NPT Co-operative agreement and the Nuclear Waste Policy Act, 1982.

The purpose of the Technician is to provide technical expertise on assigned office or field projects related to the Nez Perce Usual and Accustomed area, specifically the Hanford Nuclear site. The Technician works within a general outline of work to be preformed; develops work methods and sequences under general supervision on the Hanford Cultural Coordinator.

The purpose of the Volunteer Fire Fighter is to respond to fire alarms and emergency calls to protect lives and property. Assess conditions and act quickly to extinguish and contain fires from spreading for both Structural and Wildland fire incidents. Immediate duties are as follows:Respond to hundreds of fire incidents (Structural, Wildland, Vehicle) that could happen at any time day or night 365 days of the year.Work with other teams and First Responders to gain control of emergency scenes, combat fires, and avert further injuries by keeping bystanders out of danger.

The Purpose of the Intern position was to be exposed to diverse possibilities of future employment. A majority of the intern stage was being involved with computer, design and research technologies. Specifically tasks were:• Managed the design and layout of the Tribal paper• Managed the design and layout of ERWM/CR graphics and other deliverables• Provided technical support, training and training documents for ERWM staff and interns • Worked and collaborated with other tribal and non-tribal newspapers, designers, printers, web engineers.• Managed and maintained Macintosh computers and software• Designed ERWM website• Co-Designed ERWM – PACE website• Assisted on Video projects

The purpose of the Technician was to design and implement a time and route schedule for students attending Lewis-Clark State College• Managed and implemented safe transport for LCSC students to and from Lapwai. • Independently collaborated with local programs for maintenance and upkeep of transport vehicle.• Supervised and coordinated with LCSC students for safe transport.
