I have been employed by the Nez Perce Tribe for 20 (+) years. I have worked my way up from the Nez Perce Tribe Environmental Restoration and Waste Management college intern program. I am well versed and trained in three areas: The first, Computer/Multimedia Design, Maintenance and Web/Print Production. Thus, I have extensive experience in working with software and hardware that are recognized as to be in the Nation’s top 10 of media/design production, including but not limited to, Photoshop, In-Design, Dreamweaver, Flash, and Media 100. Additionally, I am proficient in post design elements and have skills and experience therein before the use/assistance of modern computer software. As a college student and intern I instructed and supervised classes and workshops as a stipulation of directed study courses associated with my degree. Second, I am proficient in reviewing, commenting, and corresponding with federal, state, and local agencies and their actions. I am knowledgeable in developing, designating and implementing projected tasks. I maintain awareness in the importance of cultural resource education and development. I uphold to Protect, Preserve and Perpetuate retained Treaty Rights and resources in aboriginal land of the Nez Perce Tribe using tools such as Cultural/Historic/Environmental laws, regulations, statutes, and EO and case law.Third, in areas of Emergency services. I have experience and training in responding to incidents pertaining to Fire/EMS/Rescue. I participated in training community members via the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program. I receive regular training from FEMA/Emergency Management Institute/Department of Homeland Security to assist in incidents that may occur on the Nez Perce Reservation.

The specialists duties also include Research, organize, analyze and utilize data and information and prescribe professional recommendations/actions to other staff, supervisors, directors, and Council; not limited to: Environmental Assessments (EA), Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Memorandums of Agreements (MOA), Programmatic Agreements (PA), Cultural Resource Reports (CRR), Area of Potential Effects (APE) requests, Management Plans, letters and other documents.And be able to independently coordinate with project leaders and division directors of the Nez Perce Tribe to assure project specific compliance with applicable Nez Perce Tribe Policies as well as external laws, regulations, policies associated with DOE/NPT Co-operative agreement and the Nuclear Waste Policy Act, 1982.
