Eaglescliffe

Tetey Tea did not have a Safety Person untill I was posted. My role was to establish a Health and Safety system within Tetley at Eaglescliffe and London HQ. My roll consisted of aligning the risk assessments to the systems within the factory, develop the health and safety training, monitor accidents and report to the HR Manager along with reporting to the management team on a monthly basis the progress of the safety within the business. When the machinery was maintained or brought into production I carried out a safety check along with the Maintenance Manager this was to ensure all fail safe parts worked. While I was at Tetley Eaglescliffe the decision was made to transport the continental and flavoured teas up from London to Eaglescliffe. This consisted of a major overhaul of the factory and a large CDM project. No accidents occured during the project.
