Capital Projects Manager
Current• Steward of the City’s interests responsible for directing, planning and implementing the City’s Capital Improvement program• Set guidelines, direct, review and approve all work performed by consultants, vendors and construction personnel at each phase of the project including but not limited to the development of scope, schedule and budget• Develop policies and procedures for the Capital projects department• Develop and approve procurement documents including Invitation to Bid (ITB), Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Qualification (RFQ) solicitation documents Negotiate contracts with service providers; Recommend action on contract change order requests• Prepare and oversee capital budgets; Requisition approval• Prepare agenda documents for City Council approval• Represent the department at community and Bond Oversight Committee meetings • Provide management with regular reports, communication and updates on project status• Coordinate with Development Services, Public Works and Parks and Recreation departments regarding site work, permitting and project scheduling• Manage and coordinate all construction activities and ensure that all project deliverables are achieved with regards to cost, safety, quality and program• Coordinate with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) on Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement and state-funded projects in conjunction with Public Works department• Liaise with other City departments including Procurement and Finance• Conduct field inspections
