During my time as a front office supervisor, I have also learned insurance verification and in turn helped our insurance team, as well as learned many things from the various technologists at my facility. I routinely help obtain/verify exam orders for patients, as well as communicate with our radiologists to ensure timely dictation of exams. Within the facility, I have also helped with supply/PPE counts to ensure we have the required items necessary for operation, along with other tasks/duties as assigned or requested. -

From the start, I proved a quick learner, completing my training in 3 weeks (which typically takes 6-8 weeks). By December, I was promoted into my current role as Interventional Radiology (IR) coordinator. In this role, I schedule patients for all of our IR procedures (injections/pain management procedures, port/catheter placements, drain removals, biopsies and more), as well as help coordinate the radiologist's clinic by obtaining all the outside information needed (labs, imaging reports/imaging) as well as making sure cases are reviewed prior to patients coming in and being seen. Currently I am one of eight IR coordinators, and one of three who know all of the IR department versus one or two of the specialized components.

Site ManagerProscribe Apr 2018 - Jul 2019As Site Manager, I help with the management of 26 different contracts, including the Site Coordinators and Medical Scribes working with said contracts. Currently, I supervise a total of 100 employees across our different contracts, which include multiple specialties such as Primary (Geriatric) Care, Cardiology, Family Medicine, Bariatric Medicine, among others. Part of my responsibilities is also client satisfaction. I attend regular meetings with our clients, have scheduled calls, or routine correspondence in order to insure our contracts are having their needs met. I also am involved in the hiring of new scribes in order to ensure appropriate staffing, and will also be involved with establishing services with a new contract or new provider. As with hiring, I also handle disciplinary issues or performance concerns as necessary. -
Site CoordinatorProscribe Mar 2016 - Apr 2018San Antonio, Texas AreaAs a site coordinator, my duties include all of what a medical scribe does (see below), but now have additional responsibilities. I immediately oversee a total of six different sites that have medical scribes across the San Antonio area, with a total of 30+ scribes I am directly supervising. I create the schedules for all my employees, and make sure that all of the providers at my clinics that my company is contracted with have a scribe with them every day they are in clinic. I also teach our new hires in the "classroom" setting prior to them being passed into the clinical training portion, do all quality assurance evaluations on my scribes I am directly over. I have also crossed train and know both family/internal medicine and cardiology.

I learned a working knowledge of the electronic medical record system, eCW, as well as medical terminology, medications, and how to properly document a patient's chart. I also helped assist the providers with lab orders, medications (refills, starting or stopping), imaging orders, procedures, as well as generate referrals. I also was a clinical trainer, and would train incoming new hires (scribes) in the clinic and teach them the job firsthand.
