I supported a company of 100 employees in 2 locations, and maintained multiple ESXi server clusters running Windows and Linux virtual machines. I managed Exchange, Active Directory, Cisco and Mitel VoIP/Analog phone systems on a daily basis. Most of the systems I managed are powered by Nimble Storage.

I was the Systems Administrator for the Hopkins Inn. I oversee all aspects of the network, website and software the Inn uses daily. As part of my job I write documentation, help users troubleshoot OS and application issues, maintain legacy code and develop new software.One of my first projects at the Inn was to deploy a wireless network for employees and inn guests that would be reliable, provide adequate coverage and ensure that only authorized users had access to our internal network. Some time after this I began overhauling the entire network, replacing and updating servers and network hardware throughout the Inn so that it could meet the growing needs of the company. Centralized data storage, off-site backup solutions and thin clients were deployed to ensure our Mac and Windows hardware worked together.After strengthening the network I began updating the inn website. The amount of code required was greatly reduced, eliminating redundant or unneeded sections while greatly speeding up render time and adding features. This also enables users to navigate the code base and make changes as needed.

As a computer technician for staples, I serviced computers for customers as well as offered sales advice on new computers or services in the store.
