As the Marine Science & Technology Sponsorship/Grants Department Manager, I will oversee and collaborate with grant writing interns to ensure the successful development and submission of grant proposals. This includes training interns, following up on their progress, and ensuring that all grant proposals are completed accurately and submitted on time. My primary focus will be on overseeing the team, managing the grant writing process, and identifying funding opportunities to support marine science and technology projects. I will also be establishing clear communication and collaborative management with the team to uphold the department's standards and intern performance.

-Board Committee of the Sustainable DKU club-A club that strives for climate action and more sustainable practices at DKU and Duke. -Plan and coordinate events within SDKU and the greater DKU student-faculty body. -Discussed and collaborated with Duke and DKU faculty members about the conflicts between consumerist agendas vs climate action and their cross-interactions during the 2023 Duke International Forum (DIF)-Fundraising for charitable organisations in the climate action sector frequently. -Collaborating with other clubs and members for sustainable solutions on campus.

Promoting and communicating with prospective students of DKU both on campus and remotely. Sharing students with similar interests the opportunities offered at Duke and Duke Kunshan University.

-Lead and wrote the water section of DKU's first-ever sustainability report in which we assessed the campus' water management system and water quality data to propose a more holistic, sustainable water consumption future.-Oversaw a team of 4 in which we hosted biweekly meetings for data analytics and academic writing. -Researched and benchmarked campus water usage to that of other universities. -Outlined the logistics behind DKU's rainwater harvesting system.-Researched into LEED certifications and differentiations.-Regularly met with DKU Operations, faculty, and administration to facilitate report revisions and assurance of quality scientific writing. - Conducted background literature review and interviews with DKU Operations and faculty.- Analysed, synthesised, and visualised large amounts of bilingual raw data (water consumption, tap water drinking, steam consumption and energy usage, etc).

Climate Change on the Arctic Ecosystem Lab and Arctic Ecology: -Received university lab and research credit.-Undertook a sampling and lab position that included a 15-day sampling expedition in the Arctic (Kangerlussuaq, Ilulissat, Qeqertarsuaq, Svalbard). Learned transferrable skills in experimental design, academic paper writing, common fieldwork and sampling techniques, surveying, and more. Conducted research into the bioaccumulation of methylmercury uptake by Zooplankton Daphnia. Surveyed and researched into Arctic ecology and biodiversity as well as their adaptations for Arctic ecosystems.
