Assist the Fire Support Officer in the accomplishment of all fire support and operational duties. Battle track and supervise the accuracy of operation data systems and fire support systems information. Coordinate and maintain fire support communication networks with subordinate and adjoining units. Process fire missions and manage preplanned targets. Supervise the creation of operational products and ensure they are maintained with current information. Train communicators in fire support related communication. Responsible for the efficient setup and functioning of the Fire Support Coordination Center, Supporting Arms Coordination Center and Landing Forces Operations Center. Serve as Watch Officer in Landing Forces Operations Center in order to supervise and track training exercises and operations. Serve as Training Chief of all Marine Expeditionary Units annual and operational training and readiness.

Plan, coordinate, and execute all fire support for Marine Special Operations Teams. Conduct liaison with all fire support agencies including artillery, mortars, MLRS, and close air support and advise team leader on all matters pertaining to fire support. Maintain proficiency in planning, coordinating and executing fire support as well as semiannual JTAC currency requirements in accordance with SOCOM Order 350-5. Maintain proficiency as unmanned aerial vehicle (RAVEN B)operator. Assist and mentor MSOC Air Officers in planning, coordinating, and executing fire support for company level operations. Advise, mentor, and supervise MSOC JTACs in close air support and fire support. Assist MSOC Air Officers in readiness, embarkation, and deployment of all JTAC and fire support equipment as well as sensitive items. Ensure fire support and close air support planning and coordination are complete andsubmitted on time for effective execution.

Support Marine Special Operations Company by engaging targets with AC-130, naval surface fires, indirect surface fires and on procedures for providing timely and accurate targeting information to a qualified JTAC for Type 2 and 3 Close Air Support (CAS) Terminal Attack Controls, and conducting Terminal Guidance Operations (TGO). Assist in setup and information flow of the MSOC Operations Center and CJSOTF Operations Center.
