CurrentSince October 2020, I currently serve on the CATESOL Board of Directors as the President-Elect.From 2017 to 2020, I served as Outreach Coordinator, a new position I proposed to help promote awareness of CATESOL among its members and in the larger ESL community, and develop activities to generate the active involvement of members within CATESOL in order to retain members and encourage ESL professionals to join the organization.From 2014 to 2016, I represented CATESOL local chapters at the Board level in my position as Chapter Council Chair. For the 2002 version of the GED test (until December 2013), I provided administrative and student support for our GED testing program in a variety of areas - I oversaw the submission of testing materials and demographic data to our local testing center, handled records requests, wrote and updated GED program materials, securely maintained inventory of official GED materials, administered student registration sessions, and proctored testing sessions. Since January 2014, I completed tasks to open our PearsonVUE computer-based testing center in September 2014 and managed the administration of our GED testing program, including hiring new program staff to take over for me.
