The goal of this Postdoctoral training program is to train scientists in a variety of interdisciplinary research projects focused on preventative health, such as nutrition, physical activity, and determinants of obesity. Primary responsibilities were cleaning and analyzing dietary data (Funding Source: National Heart Lung and Blood Institute - Grant # 1R01HL135220-01A1).• Inflammation Management Intervention (IMAGINE) August 2016 – July 2017 The goal of this project was to study the impact of healthy eating on inflammation among adults. Primary responsibilities were conducting participants’ anthropometric measurements during their lab screenings (Funding Source: National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases - Grant # R44DK103377).• Vegan Bytes January 2015 – August 2015 Pilot tested a wrist device called “The Byte Counter” that tracked users’ eating habits. Primary responsibilities were recruiting participants, data collection and analysis, and publishing the lead manuscript.• Partnerships for Active Children in Elementary Schools (PACES) August 2014 – December 2014 The goal of this project was to assess childhood physical activity during the school day. Primary responsibilities were distributing and processing accelerometers, as well as data analysis (Funding Source: United States Department of Education PEP Grant - Let's Get Fit to Learn # S215F140118).
