• Lead, coach, train, and direct employees to ensure we keep our commitment to our customers• Oversee the daily delivery or processing operations of one or more team setting daily priorities and executing on our service commitments.• Plan, direct and inspect the daily operation of the work floor to ensure efficient sortation, routing, and delivery of mail and parcels in accordance with corporate regulations, procedures and instructions.• Schedule and allocate staff to ensure sortation of mail and routes are covered, determine the need for extra relief staff, and authorize overtime when required.• Supervise, coach, and provide guidance and leadership to employees, oversee staffing the development of objectives and performance management including attendance management, resolve staff issues including taking disciplinary action when required.• Inputting employees’ hours worked including overtime, and payments for neighborhood mail. • Manage and improve productivity by analyzing daily reports, sharing results with my peers, and team members, resolving issues and implementing best practices.• Monitor and Promote safe work practices, conduct safety investigations and follow up on incident reports while overseeing return to work programs of employees.• Resolve staff issues and take appropriate action, if required. This involves consultation with Labour Relations and/ or the union that represents employees in our depots.

• Conduct corporate training programs in all aspects of mail operations, and the introduction of changes to equipment, systems, services, products or processes, as well as leadership development. Use of knowledge of effective methods of adult learning to provide training solutions that are appropriate to clients’ needs. Teach in traditional classroom setting, on the job training, demonstrations, workshops.• Conducts and administers performance assessment, evaluations and tests related to training potential hires to Canada Post and new employees of the Corporations. Analyzes and interprets results, and provides feedback to potential hires, new employees and the management team on training and test results.• Test the skills, abilities, and knowledge of light corporate vehicle operators both in a classroom and vehicle operating setting.• Promote and maintain good employee/ management relations• Teach as instructor and/ or facilitator on training and development programs within the region and, as required, to employees external to the region. Monitors and provides appropriate feedback and coaching to peer mentors.• Maintains thorough knowledge of the latest systems, processes, services, equipment products and technologies used within mail operations. Remain current on training and development methodologies and practices.• Work in collaboration with clients to identify local training needs. Develop and adapt new training programs, as approved for local use. Participates with team leaders in the planning and implementation process. Make recommendations to the Superintendent of training. Training on changes and/ or improvements to existing corporate programs.
