My diverse background across several different industries, including academia & research, Disney & Universal Studios theme park operations & processes, and different software services at SAP, has empowered my ability to quickly develop proficiencies in new subject areas. These roles have equipped me with a multitude of techniques and perspectives that I can analyze and interpret data, identify the practical implementation of the insights gleaned, and recognize the stakeholders’ needs and concerns when presenting a solution. My managers and colleagues would describe me as quick to learn, sociable with a fun sense of humor, and rational with my problem solving! Before entering any of my positions, where I was challenged to grow into the subject matter expert and consultant for my clients, I had no prior knowledge of their operating procedures or data. I continue to challenge myself to this day by conquering the skill of learning Cognos and the world of Travel & Expense data where each of my 15+ clients have different database structures, needs, and challenges to address. Supplementing my consulting & analytical skills, I have developed proficiencies in public speaking and leadership. Throughout my multitude of projects during the completion of my bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, I regularly volunteered to give presentations and empowered others to utilize their unique skills.Throughout the years, beginning at a young age with my journey in Boy Scouts, I have had many mentors and positive influences on my life. I recognize their positive influence on me and strongly believe in “paying it forward”. I have a wide variety of volunteering experiences throughout my personal and professional career. From Eagle Scout & Senior Patrol Leader in high school, to Vice President and Project Manager in college extracurriculars, and mentoring for my alma mater as both a senior and alumni, I am still volunteering and giving back to this day in my personal life.Outside of work, I am currently volunteering with my local LGBTQIA+, Queer, and Polyamorous communities. I currently help run, moderate, and improve the Discord server for a group of 40+ active individuals in the age range of 18 – 40. I co-run that group with 3 other volunteer leaders, and we host at least one monthly social event along with several different ethics and educational events throughout the year. We as a team encounter several unique challenges, and specific skills I’ve developed through them are conflict resolution, logistics for event planning, and collaboration & brainstorming.
