About Anthony Epp
I have been in specialty coffee since June of 2003 and still believe the switch to be one of the best decisions I have made. Before getting into coffee I was in restaurants for 17 years.There are parts of it I still miss, but the biggest thing keeping me in coffee is the sense of community. The community with other coffee professionals at every level as well as the community with the customers. Many of them have become good friends.In restaurants I have done all styles of food from simple dinner/drive-in fare to beach-side cafe food with in house smoked items, to several different styles of Italian food, to 4-star cuisine, and catering events covering the same range.I was also Assistant Pastry Chef for 2 years, and if I go back into restaurants, this is where I would like to concentrate. I have also made several wedding cakes for friends which was a lot of challenging fun.Right now I leave the cooking where it's fun, cooking for friends and family and those who I know will appreciate it.So when we meet, and you have an appointment you have to get to, it's probably not a good idea to get me talking about food, coffee or racing as I am passionate about all three and love to talk about them.Specialties: Purchasing, inventory control, training, excellent knife skills, talent for pastries.
