Since initially commencing with a food industry specialist consultancy business in 1996, I have been assisting businesses implement and improve systems including; OHS/ WHS, Quality Assurance, Human Resource Management, Lean Manufacturing and HACCP. I have also assisted with R&D projects including; line extensions,"​ me too "​ products, improvements with packaging design, conversion to natural flavours & colours through to trouble - shooting such as shelf - life extension. In addition to the above, I am a tertiary qualified adult educator and have been teaching / training since 1993 within the VET sector. The majority of this has included workplace based delivery, classroom, lecture format, workshops and one-on-one. The cliental ranges from corporate senior management through to process operators with limited education and English language skills. I consider myself to be a very good 'all rounder'​ in the education field. Not only theory delivery, but training project management, design & development of learning programs, design & development of assessment materials, involved in workplace & cultural change projects and other areas such as design of Food Technology DVD's. Earlier in my career, I held roles of production management, technical support and quality assurance within the food manufacturing & major food service sectors.

I joined the committee in 2008 where I wanted to contribute to a community organisation utilising my many years of adult education and VET experience. I am in a role where I provide support and guidance on policy, procedures, OHS, programs, marketing, community involvement, budgeting, special projects, strategic planning and applying for funding. I recently took over the President of the committee role in September 2014.The RFSCH continues to expand it's programs including a number aimed at the younger members of our community (4-10 years), those with special needs and the general public who may want to meet new people along with a new interest.Our revamped website will be up and running soon!MISSION - To provide the opportunities for all to learn, teach, make friends and give mutual support in an ethnically diverse, comfortable, accepting and co-operative environment.AIM - To provide services to the Banyule and wider communities.The RSFCH focusses on programs for; socialisation, health & wellbeing, community & special needs.

Banyule Scouts (Volunteer role)Involved in Scouting as a youth including achieving Queen Scout award. I had an epiphany moment in 2010 when I noticed my current position advertised. Always wanted to give back this organisation and the community which I personally gained much from. Now in a role of DLATS which includes; assisting with selection & screening of new leaders, supporting / mentoring new leaders through basic training, identifiying individual & professional development needs, support the DPC, assist in conducting training programs, identifcation of RPL, report writing and presentation to district & region, identification of succession planning across the district, promotion of adult learning programs, maintaining training records, liaising with parents and committeess, reviewing and advising experienced leaders in further training and developing the roles of assistant sectional leaders.
