Re-established a centralized Procurement Function to support a $20M business of highly automated "Turn-key" Material Handling Systems.Established Cost Control Guidelines which contributed 11% increase in divisional profits ($4.2M) within the first two (2) years of implementation.Responsible for the complete transition and closure of the long standing in-house Manufacturing operations to a consolidated group of local full service subcontract manufacturers.Successfully supported and operated under a formal ISO 9001 Certification Process as well as meeting all federally mandated Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements for public companies.Supervised the daily activities of five (5) Procurement and Manufacturing/QC Professionals.

Responsible for all aspects of Material Acquisition, Movement and Inventory/Production Control functions with a vehicle manufacturing business with annual sales of $95M.Began the implementation process of installing a formal "Syteline" ERP System while at the same time focused on the development of a team approach to a formal "Plant-wide" Schedule Compliance Program.Formally identified and began implementation of Material Cost Reduction Opportunities in excess of $900K within the first 12 months of employment.Managed directly and through supervision the activities of over 40 employees in all aspects of Material Management.

Managed the Procurement Activities of specific materials to support a $170M business of "High-end" Door Hardware, Gift and Lighting Products servicing such retail giants as Home Depot and Lowes.Responsible for the negotiations of all Procurement Contracts and Supplier Agreements (both on a domestic and international basis) in specific materials to support the daily activities of four (4) Buyer Planners in a dynamic ERP environment with average annual revenue growth of 20% for five straight years.Documented Material Cost Savings in excess of $4.5M over a 5 year period.Sole Procurement responsibility for a new product line which yielded $15M in additional sales for the initial 12 month period.Assisted MASCO Corp. with corporate wide contract negotiations totaling $30M in the procurement of corrugated packaging materials.

Managed the Procurement and Materials Function which supported a $42M Manufacturer of highly engineered Process Gas Compressor Equipment.Supervised a staff of six (6) Buyers and five (5) Production and Inventory Control Professionals.Established clear measurements in the areas of Supplier Quality, Delivery and Material Scrap Recovery.Developed Buyer Performance Measurements related to Cost Reduction and Delivery Performance.Re-established a Supplier Partnership Program called "Co-Destiny" with 15 vital Suppliers that addressed Cost, Inventory Control, Quality and Delivery.

Commodity responsibility of $7M which included the negotiation and JIT distribution of approximately $5M in specialized rubber compounds for two (2) facilities located in NJ and NM.Maintained a 95%+ On-time Delivery performance within my assigned supplier base.

Procurement responsibility totaling $22M vs. an overall department budget of $52.1M in a business that produced "High-end" Office Furniture and equipment.Consolidated 20 Sheet Metal Vendors into seven (7) full service value-added Suppliers yielding an annual savings of over $500K.Established JIT - Point of Use Supply Methodology with Supplier Base to ensure 98% on-time delivery and inventory turns in excess of 26 on select items.

Participated in all functional areas with the Industrial Engineering Department from Time-Study & Methods through Project Management.Began my Procurement Career in June of 1978 with the goal of obtaining a working knowledge and experience in every commodity this industrial manufacturer of heavy equipment produced.Transferred from their NJ Operation to their PA Operation taking on the additional responsibility of employee supervision and development of (3) department associates.
