My responsibilities at Fortec included operation, maintenance, transport, and trouble-shooting advanced medical equipment used for surgery. Primarily, this includes surgical Lasers used in Urology, ENT and GYN (Holmium, Greenlight, CO2); but also includes other surgical equipment such as Diagnostics (Ultrasounds), Cryogenics (Galil CryoTherapy), and Plasma Hemostasis (Argon Plasma Coagulator). I was also responsible for a wide variety of logistics activities such as delivery of surgical instrument trays to sterile processing departments, transport of equipment and disposables, and coordinating with co-workers and using the proprietary employer app to keep a proper shared ledger of asset locations.Other responsibilities included maintaining excellent relationships with every level of hospital staff, from Surgeons, to Nurses, to Billing and Compliance personnel; as well as accurate case documentation and timely billing submission. I had a roughly 150 mile regular service area and sometimes traveled overnight.
