Architecture is my passion. I love the spaces we create and I am fascinated by the intersections and surprises that occur when we implement great design, but I am equally transfixed by the social aspects of architecture, both during the design process and in its inhabitation. True poetry in our work engages the beauty of the built, the narrative of a coherent logic, the power of the detail, and the exemplification of a collaborative human spirit. My career has been a balance between the technical, precise implementation of architecture and the expressive, strategic experimentation of space. I have been fortunate to have worked alongside expert technical architects and those with a more artistic approach, allowing me the benefits of understanding the full role of our design solutions. As Associate Principal at Cushing Terrell, my focus is on growing our aptitude in design and responding to client needs in all areas.My work has been featured in World Architecture News, Montana Architect, and Signature Magazine, and my writing on architecture has appeared in Montana Art and Photography. My current research involves how space facilitates organizational efficiencies and intent and drives organizational specificity and value.
