Primary Therapist
Current• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, risk assessments, initial treatment plan within 24 hrs upon admission, develop master treatment plans within 72 hours and monitor progress and adjust, as needed.• Provides 3 individual sessions, family sessions and a collateral parent call on a weekly basis utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to assist clients in completing treatment goals.• Participate in the clinical on-call rotation every 3 weeks to provide phone-based support to on-site staff, assist with managing after-hours crises and emergencies via phone.• Conduct weekly DBT groups with 4 to 6 clients to teach DBT skills effectively to regulate client emotions and behaviors, enhance mood, improve relationships, and engage in effective problem solving and communication.• Facilitated continuity of care with discharge coordinator and ensured documentation of discharge summary.• Collaborated with a multidisciplinary team, psychiatrists, and network providers to best tailor the continuity of care for each client's individual needs• Act as the point-person for each assigned client and their family during treatment and after with discharge preparation, including after-care, living arrangement planning and Home Contract creation.• Communicate and advocate medical necessity for clients to the Utilization Review team to ensure adequate insurance coverage is obtained.• Liaise with insurance companies and provided appropriate clinical information to obtain initial and continued stay certification.• Collaborated with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, and other clinicians to best tailor the continuity of care for each client's individual needs.• Effectively navigated high crisis situations including assessing for suicidal and homicidal ideation, created safety contracts with clients, and sought further support for potential involuntary hospitalization if necessary
