Instituted the MPS to plans, direct, organize and control overall movement of materials and production of PBV brand valves. Identified the product families that are ETO, MTO, ATO, and MTS to create further efficiencies and cost reduction in the end items. Rebuilt the Planning department to ensure that supply of finished valve requirements is met. Unveiled a sales facing available to promise report to better utilize capacity for increase customer service and improve order qualifiers. Leads continuous improvement initiatives for procurement, materials management, and inventory control. Works with departments on projects, strategic initiatives, resource planning and business plans. Establish yearly goals and objectives for the department and personnel staff.

Manages Forum Valve Solutions bands, PBV-USA / Quadrant, which accounts for 70% of business unit’s total revenue. Plays a key role in strategic implementation of existing product lines to achieve increased market share and in the S&OP. Uses critical forecasting skills, product / market knowledge, and statistical data analysis to project future trends in both product performance and revenue generation. Understands Key Performance Indicators for the PBV brand. Controls the initial stages of new product development for quarter turn valve products. Adds key marketing information and requirements for new products, in addition to estimating projected revenue/bookings for new products once fully developed. Responsible for the 11 product lines under the PBV-USA brand of valves totaling 86 million dollars in sales annually. Responsible for instruction and education on the specific brands to help both inside sales and customers. Assist in management of budget dollars in S&OP monthly reviews and forecast meetings. Maintain price lists and structures, also improve mentioned price lists by doing cost analysis and margin optimization techniques. Compiles and maintains PBV-USA product cost book in order to maintain correct product margins.

Responsible for the review and development of all PBV-USA quotations based on customer inquiries and internal requests from Sales or Management. Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Materials departments for the timely review of customer special requirements and technical specifications from inquiries. Compiles data collected from Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Materials to obtain current cost and lead-times for quoted items. Reviews excess and slow-moving inventory as alternate materials for use in current customer orders and quotations. Monitor and communicate any low margin items. Analyze and communicate current inquiry activity to Materials Management for product forecast updates.

Provides the lead responsibility for the procurement of material and/or services involving raw forgings, centrifugal castings, and machined components ($8 M annually). Continuous and close contact with Engineering, Production Control, Manufacturing and other key personnel to ensure that requirements to support the company’s operations are properly presented to and executed by the current supply base. Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers. Developed an understanding of Kanban, Lean manufacturing, and the differences between Demand Pull, and Demand Push.
