Previously, I had worked at Lowe's Home Improvements for three years. While at this job, I had been internally promoted several times from a seasonal worker to a part-time worker, then to a full time Pro Sales Specialist within just a year of my employment. After some time, I eventually stepped down from that position to focus more on my education at Northern Virgina Community College. That focus and dedication led me to earn my associate degree.Presently, I attend the University of Lynchburg striving to earn my bachelor’s degree in accounting and minoring in finance. While continuing my education I am currently employed as a Tax and Auditing Intern at BrownEdwards CPA's. While working here I’ve already advanced my knowledge in accounting principles and regulations. I started as a scanner and have moved up to preparing entity tax returns and as well as preform many diffrent types of audits. Moving forward, I plan to continue my professional career as an accountant and earn my CPA as well as the CMA. I also plan to attend graduate school to earn my MACC. I would like to pursue a career in the government or work for one of the big four accounting firms.
