I started on my working experience with Publix at the age of 15, as I recently celebrated my four-year anniversary with the company. Throughout this time, I've been able to move up the ranks, Going from the role of a Front Service Clerk to Cashier, and I now find myself on the cusp of a well-deserved promotion to Customer Service Staff. In addition to my frontline roles, I've gained invaluable experience by getting the opportunity to work in various departments, including grocery and produce. This past summer, I completed an internship with the City of Stuart Human Resource Department. It was a great opportunity, allowing me to get a glimpse of what a career in Human Resources is truly like. While at the City, I was allowed to sit in on negotiations involving the Fire and Police Departments. In addition to negotiation discussions with the Fire and Police Departments, I attended City Commission meetings and saw how the leaders of Stuart made decisions. I was also able to participate in meetings regarding sensitive topics such as labor agreements and employee benefits. While learning how the Human Resources department deals with such discussions, I collaborated with HR professionals to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.My educational career is one thing that I am very proud of. Graduating from high school in 2022, I managed to complete 99% of my associate's degree, falling just one class short of being able to graduate from high school and college with a high school diploma and an Associate degree. This allowed me to get the opportunity to finish my bachelors degree in just a year and a half giving me the opportunity to graduate in December of 2023 from the University of South Florida (USF) with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. After receiving my Bachelors degree I will start on the pursuit of a Master's degree at Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS), where I will be earning an MBA in General Business. My goal is to finish with this degree by October or November of 2024.
