Coordinate with the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Domestic Events Network (DEN) during emerging air related problems or incidents. Communicate with other adjacent personnel and facilities during emergencies to ensure proper handling and a satisfactory outcome. • Comprehensive knowledge of all facility equipment including Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS), Digital Airport Surveillance Radar (DASR-11), Precision Approach Radar (PAR), Integrated Voice Communications Switching System (IVCSS)• On the Job Training Instructor (OJTI) on all 5 qualified control positions. Charged with mentoring and training Air Traffic Control Trainees on all aspects of each position to become safe, knowledgeable, qualified Controllers.• Routinely monitored weather conditions and other similar factors involving the movement of aircraft throughout the National Airspace System.
