As an athlete, I have become driven and hardworking over the course of my life. Working in a team setting has taught me real life skills that I can adapt to my every day life and future career. For example, one of these skills is leadership. I have been the captain of previous teams in the past, and have learned what it means to be a leader in a small group. I have adapted and applied what I have learned into creating my own LLC. In the summer of 2021, I wanted to fill the void of a lack of summer skates provided for college- aged players. I founded what was initially known as “TVLHOCKEY,” with the goal to provide weekly skates for college players who could not find them elsewhere during the off-season to prepare them for their upcoming seasons. These skates started off as a skills type of skate— a couple of drills to start, with some pickup at the end. These skates quickly transformed into a weekly pickup game with 20+ guys returning each week. The energy was high, and the competition level was noticeable. Not to mention, therewas a great group of guys to go along with it. It was from these pickup games, that the idea for a college summer league was born. In the summer of 2022, after spending a year playing hockey and attending Syracuse University, I rebranded TVLHOCKEY into LIMITLESS HOCKEY and thus, The Frozen Jungle was born. What started off as a weekly pickup game, grew into a four- team summer league for college-aged players. The first season saw 60+ kids across numerous college and junior leagues participate. The second season, the summer of 2023, saw 120+ kids participate, which spread across 8 teams. Additionally, in the summer of 2023, there was an additional “Girls High School League” that fielded enough players for five teams. The Frozen Jungle was founded with the mission to provide college-age/ level players the opportunity to continue playing hockey at a high level throughout the off- season. The goal is to provide a fun, yet competitive, summer hockey experience for all those who participate in the league.
