I am a community-based dynamic and self-motivated Community Link Worker experienced in various management and non-management roles, supporting adults from diverse backgrounds and cultures with learning disabilities, autism, mental health and challenging behaviour. I have 20 years’ experience of working with individuals using a person-centred approach to develop their individuality, independence, choice and rights. I am tenacious, enhanced DBS checked and have a proven track record of demonstrating clear leadership, management and advocacy skills to work in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams, such as Social Workers, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Community Nurses and Dieticians, in order to coach, mentor and empower clients to achieve their goals. I also have some experience of running and facilitating projects. I am a Level 1 certified football coach, with experience of voluntary coaching of adults with learning disabilities and under-10 girls’ teams and have previously worked collaboratively with Sport for England to raise awareness of campaigns and initiatives within the London Borough of Ealing.
