Dr. Garcés- Rodríguez has a 25 years extensive teaching practice in higher education. Dr. Garcés-Rodríguez holds an international doctorate in Education Sciences. He is currently hired by the Department of Foreign Languages Teaching and Learning at the University of Granada. His current fields of research are: Creative writing; Aesthetic Reading and Heritage Literature. He is as well a researcher in Education and Democratic Competences; Multicultural Studies and Inclusive Education. He is affiliated to a set of varied projects: EDUCATING DEMOCRACY: Discovering European Communities through Literature at the Faculty for Education Studies in Reykjavik (Iceland); The DIONE project, an innovative think tank in the field of education for the 21st century. Internationalization of teaching in a globalized world but with respect for cultural differences (germany), knowledge and learning types; RESPOND project for sustaining the professional development of teachers within schools as professional learning environments; Or more recently a capacity building project TEACHERSMOD, ERASMUS+ K2, for future elementary school teachers modernization in Kurdistan (Irak)
