Within the Leonardo Helicopters division, as AW169 Product Support Engineering Manager, I’m currently responsible of Service Engineering and Technical Publication for the AW169 product, the latest-generation 4.5 tonne class twin-engine helicopter designed and manufactured by Leonardo Helicopter Division (formerly AgustaWestland) with the latest standard of aeronautical technologies.Main activities and responsibilities:- Concept and implement the industrial set-up for in-service fleet continuing airworthiness management, including the authoring of related maintenance and operational documentation.- Coordinate and monitor the continuing airworthiness management of customized technical services and support solutions provided for customer’s fleets.- Lead a team composed by 13 engineers, 6 of them involved in 24/7 support.- Support Aviation Authorities to achieve helicopter type certification in foreign countries.- Formalize the interface with LH CAM engineering office for engineering activities (AD/SB monitoring, maintenance and reliability programmes).- Managing a $2m budget for the yearly development of flight and service activities.- Coordinating a Supplier for the editing, development and publishing of the complete set of technical manuals (maintenance and operational documentation) for AW169.- Provide production and key performance indicators on a monthly basis.- Provide support to aircraft transaction activity when required.- Managing conferences and events, giving public speeches on product and services developments.

Within the Leonardo Helicopters division, as Coordinator of Service Engineering team, I'm responsible to coordinate support activities for AW169 products reporting directly to the AW169 Product Support Engineering Manager.Main activities and responsibilities:- Lead a team composed by nine engineers, five of them involved in 24/7 support.- In coordination with the other Product Support functions, provide engineering support to the AW169 in-service fleet in order to :- - Ensure the continuous airworthiness and maximize the availability of their helicopters.- - Achieve the reliability and the availability targets required by the market.- Timely resolution of technical problems through dedicated troubleshooting analysis and production of applicable documentation interfacing Leonardo Helicopters Departments and Vendors.- Ensure cooperation between the Service Engineering team and all Company Departments / Third Parties in order to provide integrated support solutions to all Customers.- Maintenance procedures creation and validation (Service Bulletins, Maintenance Manual).- Customer visits for product and service related activities (technical update, on site assistance).- Fleet statistics analysis (availability, flight hours) and reporting.- Reliability and maintainability analysis of the helicopter and its components for Product Improvement targets.

Engineering support to the entry into service of the worldwide fleet of AW169 helicopter model.Main activities and responsibilities:- In coordination with the other Product Support functions, provide engineering support to the entry into service of the worldwide fleet of AW169 helicopter model in order to :- - Ensure the continuous airworthiness and maximize the availability of their helicopters.- - Achieve the reliability and the availability targets required by the market.- Timely resolution of technical problems through dedicated troubleshooting analysis and production of applicable documentation interfacing Leonardo Helicopters Departments and Vendors.- Direct support to Product Improvement and Technical Publications activities for AW169 programme.

Fatigue and Damage Tolerance specialist for A350-900 XWB (Extra Wide Body) Spoilers and Ailerons Program on behalf of AIRBUS Industries.- Technical support and team leading of TAI Turkish Aerospace Industry Inc. engineering group (AIRBUS supplier) for calculation and optimization of Fatigue and Damage Tolerance parameters by means of Nastran / Patran and ISAMI.- Fatigue Spectra and Equivalent Stresses calculation of the with ISAMI and VBA Macros.Stress EngineerFatigue and Damage Tolerance specialist for A300-200F GMF (General Market Freighter) Central Section (S15/S21) Certification Program on behalf of AIRBUS Industries.- Fatigue And Damage Tolerance Calculations of Primary Structures.- Fatigue Spectra and Equivalent Stresses calculation with SAFE and VBA Macros.- Correction of existing certification documents covering Significant Structural Items (SSIs).

Internship in Structure Department (DO/TS/D) focused on Structural Repair Manual (SRM) revision.- Study of ATR Structures (Fuselage and Wing) and problems related to the ageing of the aeronautical structures; study of certification regulations FAR25 and new FAR26, CS25 and all related documents involved in ATR maintenance procedures (SRM, SRKM, NDTM, MPD).- Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Calculations of ATR fuselage tipical repairs and study of impact of Size & Proximity Criteria on SRM repairs by the means of Cracks and NASGRO.- SRM revision in order to integrate Size & Proximity Criteria for fuselage and wing repairs.
