Antonio has a strong track record in the Corporate Governance and Management Company space and is a well known figure in the Luxembourg Funds Industry.With almost 30 years of experience in the International Funds and Asset Management Industry he has also delivered a number of significant change management projects , the most recent of which was for Nevastar Finance (Luxembourg) SA, where he was responsible for restructuring the Groups Luxembourg based “Super ManCo” offering including their UCITS and AIFM Management Company business and developing their Luxembourg 3rd Party Real Estate activities,.He acts as a Luxembourg Resident Independent Board Director for a number of International Managers and Sponsors.

Antonio is the Managing Director for Nevastar Finance (Luxembourg) S.A. He is responsible for the Groups Luxembourg domiciled 'Super ManCo' offering including their UCITS, Part II Sicav, SIF SICAV and RAIF platforms. The business also supports cross border activities into Ireland in the RE space.

Antonio Thomas joined the ManagementPlus Executive team in Luxembourg as one of four partners, to help establish the group’s "Third Party Super Management Company Manco” Services in the UCITS and AIFMD space. William Jones, Managing Partner of ManagementPlus Group, said: “ Antonio is a recognized industry figure in the UCITS and Management Company sector both in Luxembourg and other fund centres such as Ireland and the UK. His addition to the team provides enables ManagementPlus with the ability to expand and offer services in new directions across a wide spectrum of areas including UCITS and AIFMD.”Antonio also holds several Independent Chairman and Director positions in UCITS and Alternative Fund Structures. He is also active in supporting various industry bodies and committees including for the Luxembourg Fund Industry (“ALFI”) and ILA (Institut Luxembourgeois des Administrateurs). Antonio is a regular speaker at industry conferences including ALFI, IBC and others and has lectured for the Institute of Bankers in Ireland on Corporate Governance matters. He has also contributed a number of articles on various subjects for industry journals.

Antonio Thomas became Chairman of RBS Fund Services in November 2012. The business included cross border responsibilities for Nat West Trustee & Depositary Services, the largest independent provider of these services in the UK, RBS (Luxembourg) S.A. , one of the largest 3rd party independent Management Companies in Luxembourg and other Governance propositions which were added to the franchise

Antonio Thomas is the Managing Director of RBS Luxembourg S.A. and has more than 25 years' varied experience in the Investment Funds industry. From 1992 to 2006, he worked with the F&C Asset Management Group based in the UK in a number of different roles, including having responsibility for the product managment for their off shore pooled vehicles business, helping to establish the Operational Risk and Product Control function for F&C Management, and supporting F&C Asset Management Plc’s various fund businesses (including Ireland), where he was responsible for launching, integrating and maintaining both retail and non-retail vehicles which were managed and distributed in various international jurisdictions. Mr. Thomas joined the RBS Group in October 2006 where he set up and was the Managing Director for RBS Fund Services (Ireland) Ltd, a UCITs III Management Company. He assumend the additional responsibility for RBS Luxembourg S.A. in March 2009. Mr Thomas has held a number of board positions, including Luxembourg, Irish, Mauritian and Cypriot Fund Directorships.

Responsible for approximately € 5 billion of Off shore pooled vehicles majority of which domiciled in Luxembourg but also Jersey, Ireland and the US.
