Regulatory Operations Manager
CurrentLeadership and line management – combining direct performance management of operational support staff, with matrix management of specialists (including healthcare Inspectors, information analysts, project officers), to develop individual skills and ensure that targets are attained.Business analysis and implementing solutions – efficiently translating policies and strategic objectives into operational infrastructure by determining business needs, designing processes plus managing change and resources.Operational delivery – design and development of systems to implement new legislation, including acting as a fulcrum between IT and frontline staff in developing and improving systems.Programme management – planning and management of the licensing and inspection programme, pertaining to 850 organisations throughout the UK, including coordinating a cross disciplinary team of specialists and prioritising competing commitments.Stakeholder management – developing relationships with stakeholders (e.g. Department of Health and national health organisations) and colleagues (collaborating with Finance / Legal / IT directorates) plus resolving customer enquiries by providing tailored responses to complex licensing issues.Business planning – formulating strategy to ensure adherence to legislative and organisational objectives, whilst identifying synergies between work streams and integrating projects to ensure efficient delivery.Project management – producing business cases, agreeing objectives, creating processes, building operational systems and communication with stakeholders.Data analysis – strong analytical and data interpretation skills to design management reports, oversee data integrity, monitor and evaluate performance against business objectives, plus provide data to partner organisations (e.g. Home Office, HSE, ACPO, EU and parliamentary committees).Quality assurance – overseeing processes and records to maintain user compliance and data integrity.
