● Chosen to co-lead a joint venture with an external software company to develop their innovative real-time visualisation technology. Provided deep insight into what data was displayed to front office users, and how the metrics are calculated and then led a team to deliver the code and infrastructure needed within Credit Suisse. My inclusion at an early stage saved months of work and reduced potential failure. The resulting application allowed traders to instantly see trade states from any point in time, something that would have taken days to do previously.● Designed, architected and managed the delivery of real-time trade intelligence tools. Using effective data visualisation methods, reduced the time taken to understand a trade by 50%. By focusing on a truly agile process, streamlined governance and the reuse of components. I was able to deliver in under 6 months with just 2 developers. The business people involved really appreciated the collaborative design and build process, leading to high levels of customer satisfaction and more confidence when presenting numbers to clients.● Designed, prototyped (in Python) and led the delivery (in Java) of a real-time analytics engine. Several teams were re-calculating metrics and sometimes using different methodologies or source data. My application published trading analytics to Kafka allowing re-use by all. This reduced duplicative code, inconsistencies across apps and incorrect information to clients by 20%.● Managed End of Life processes for Equities IT globally. Automated reporting on asset status makes it easier for application owners to focus on moving to approved platforms and doing their day jobs. EOL was the second largest technical risk at Credit Suisse. My actions resulted in reduced cost, reduced risk and accurate communication with auditors and regulators.● Led the migration of Credit Suisse’s TCA data from on-prem Sybase IQ to public cloud Snowflake. This formed a large part of the Equities Data Strategy

● Designed, architected and led a team to deliver a rewrite of Credit Suisse’s TCA system. This resulted in avoiding $1M per year in market data costs, fewer errors, better recovery from issues and no missed SLAs.● Project managed the design, build and delivery of a large client-facing trading analysis application (CS Edge). Edge utilises Credit Suisse’s execution database and real-time data to empirically predict execution costs globally. It covers the full trading lifecycle from trade ideas generation through to post-trade analytics and TCA. My idea was to replace 5 existing applications, improving the user experience and reducing complexity, cost and security risks for Credit Suisse. Won ‘Best Pre and Post Trade Analytics for Portfolio Trading’ in the APAC Greenwich survey.● Introduced Tableau as our data visualisation engine, allowing our business users to develop content directly reducing the need for a dedicated Business Analyst and improving the time to market of new features.● Introduced continuous build and automated unit testing● Through constant scrutiny and right sizing, I was able to reduce my department's infrastructure spend from$162k a month to $30k a month.● Created and managed off-shore teams in Mumbai, Pune and Wroclaw (Poland). Increasing 2nd line supportcoverage, reducing key person dependencies and having a greater pool of people to hire from.● Introduced Agile methodologies with all application streams now using a form of Scrum with everything inJira. This has led to less stressed developers, software that fits the client's needs more accurately and very easy project reporting.
