I am Dr. Anu K., a biotechnologist currently Postdoctoral Fellow at Kannur University with a Ph.D. from the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, where my research focused on pathogen defense mechanisms in Piper colubrinum. My expertise encompasses plant defense mechanisms, plant-microbe interactions, and sustainable agriculture. At Kannur University, my postdoctoral research focuses on developing biosynthetic bacterial consortia to boost black pepper productivity. Previously, at the Rubber Research Institute of India, I optimized a gene functional validation tool for Hevea brasiliensis using RNAi-based VIGS approaches to investigate fungal defense mechanisms. I also have teaching experience as an assistant professor at Chinmaya Arts and Science College, where I taught plant biotechnology and microbial technology. My objective is to explore and innovate in the field of sustainable agriculture, leveraging my expertise to create advanced methods for a more sustainable future.
