Digital Engagement Officer
CurrentI am responsible for the day-to-day running of Lymphoma Action’s social media channels including scheduling, responding and providing excellent customer service. This involves working with teams across the charity to source and create content for social media to raise awareness, promote our activities, generate income, increase our reach and build meaningful relationships. Canva and Sprout Social are used daily to create and schedule content. Creating effective, optimised content for our email marketing campaigns has also been a key part of my role in order to engage with audiences, and promote activities and services. Data handling and analysis are important in these areas to ensure we are working in a data-led manner across the organisation. I also help with maximising digital marketing opportunities such as social media advertising, paid search and influencer outreach, as well as keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in social media and digital marketing.I am responsible for creating the digital version of the charity’s magazine Lymphoma Matters, which is published every 4 months. The first digital version launched in February 2023 and was positively received internally and externally. The project involves working closely with the publications team for the printed magazine content and using the content creation platform Foleon to create an engaging and interactive online version of the magazine, one that is in line with our brand and accessible. Leading on this project with creative freedom has given me extensive project management and graphic design experience.I support the comms team in other ways as required. Examples include google analytics, staff training such as Canva training, and clearing data from the back end of the website. I also support with AI use as a member of the AI working group which helps shape our AI policy and practice.
