I also made significant technical contributions by developing an efficient Spark script, enabling the tagging of 260 million Veteran Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data records on Azure ML GPU distributed workflow. This implementation reduced training time by an impressive 40%. Additionally, I conducted thorough model tuning and optimization efforts, achieving an outstanding F1 score of 0.86 for accurately tagging PII, surpassing the performance of Microsoft’s Cognitive Model, which had an F1 score of 0.80. Employed time series modeling (ARIMA) using historical sales trends to provide these predictions. One other developer and I engineered the pipeline and made the efforts to push to production. Data features included historical price, statistical manipulations of the price, weather, and date. Final model accuracy averaged around ~82%. Solution was provided to (at the time) 3500 customers.October – February 2020Worked with the venues team to build a real-time ordering service to provide event attendees with a quick and easy way to order from the given menu without leaving their seat. Built the website from scratch to handle users scanning QR codes to place their orders and connect their order directly to their seat. Covid prevented the solution from reaching customers at this time.March – June 2020Parsed historical price data for a variety of high-volume products to build a price elasticity model.July – July 2021I worked with the Configuration Center team to deliver a seamless import solution for the small business/restaurant onboarding pipeline. Our solution accepted raw menus in various formats, including excel sheets, word documents, images, or PDFs, and generated a formatted CSV file containing items, prices, descriptions, modifiers, and variations. This formatted output could be easily inputted into our system. Each scanned menu saved approximately 6 hours of manual transcription time. The solution implemented linear graph search and CNNs to scan for menu items and extract the relevant information. -
Research AssistantEntertainment Intelligence Lab Nov 2017 - Dec 2018Working with Dr. Mark Reidl and Chris Purdy on story generation related tasks. Mainly, I explored different NN architectures to composite a story generation pipeline. I trained a TensorFlow story generation model using new 4-token event summaries. This generative model took a model word as input and created stories based on 1000's of trained sci-fi stories. This model was used to run beam search on the lab's generative model (Spring 2018).In the coming fall semester, will work on projects concerning narrative intelligence. Will help to create a story generation system which learns pervasive narrative patters and uses these to create novel narratives. Specifically will work on a "gap-filling" procedure which uses deep learning to add relevant story details to generated story outlines.

I wrote a url and json decoder plugin for Burp-Suite to clean chrome request/response. It was able to improve response readability by over 900%.I also created a network analysis model to alert users to suspicious traffic. It took in data from multiple software sources and compiled a report to show sources of potential malware and other points of interest. -
Co-Op Backend DeveloperPegasuscrm Aug 2016 - May 2017Working at PegasusCRM has been an experience of a lifetime. Being a co-op at a smaller company has allowed me to be closer with the software and the problems that arise with it. I have been at the forefront of the code. That includes: fixing many bugs, using the core software, frantically trying to beat a deadline and even staying late to fix production problems. I didnt have much experience with front end languages (Javascript, HTML, and PHP). I took quickly to php by diving head first into the code and fixing bugs. One thing i noticed early on is that the intial development was poorly planned and the models were empty. I applied my knowledge of OOP and and MVC to fix as much of the code as i could. In addition to bug fixes, I led the creation of a merchant acquisition tool that helped local agents acquire new clients. I took specifications from Bigazi models and created a fully functional application ahead of schedule. The application produced a ballpark estimate of savings in around 5 minutes (Down from 8 hour calculation time).
