Having recently moved to New Zealand, I took the opportunity to utilise my expansive career history and background to serve as a volunteer with the St Vincent de Paul National Appeal. I have cultivated and fostered relationships with key community members, sector leaders and team leaders within the organisation, developing and maintaining a network of key contacts and enhance internal communication. I spearheaded the creation of a detailed list of professional contacts, utilised community connections to develop a comprehensive list of potential donors and supporters and built a rapport with all involved. I also undertook research into various sectors, industries and businesses to identify key professionals and maintained the highest level of integrity while fulfilling all relevant functions.

In this role, I was responsible for managing all aspects of the purchasing process while gaining and utilising a sound understanding of the business’ overall goals, objectives and operational values. I showcased an analytical mindset while driving a culture of continuous improvement within the Purchasing, Procurement and Inventory functions. I successfully streamlined the purchasing process, harnessed a savings-mindset and proactively identified areas in need of improvement. I also identified significant cost-saving opportunities through the transition from European suppliers to Asian suppliers, thereby achieving an annual saving of US$57 000. Using my superb interpersonal skills, I successfully sourced new suppliers, negotiated and secured favourable terms and increased contract values. I also built and maintained relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and logistic partners, established and maintained communication channels and followed up on purchase orders and deliveries. Undertook staff training, coaching and mentoring initiatives with new staff members and provided advice on SAP systems.I proactively analysed and monitored inventory levels, expenditure, material consumption, supplier services and quality control, compiled detailed reports to inform key decision-makers and collaborated with management to enhance the overall success of the business. This allowed me to consistently achieve and report on KPIs across the business while being instrumental in the successful development, implementation and roll-out of Lean Projects within the business, increased production efficiency by almost 10% and proactively mitigated all challenges to ensure a seamless transition for all staff

Initially employed as the Senior Sourcing & BOM Costing Analyst, I consistently delivered excellent results while supporting team objectives. I was then promoted to Team Leader where I led the sourcing team while also managing two key customer accounts. I demonstrated superb attention-to-detail, analytical thinking and a sound commercial acumen while calculating Bill of Material costing for customer quotations. Renegotiated material prices with key suppliers prior to confirming the purchase with the Operative Purchasing Team, collaborated with key team members and ensured cohesion for the betterment of the business. I also undertook a thorough market analysis to identify market trends in the semi-conductor industry, developed mitigation strategies and worked alongside the Supply Management of the group to take the necessary actions. This allowed me to negotiate and manage quarter and annual price list agreements and various aspects of Total Cost of Ownership calculations. Throughout these roles, I showcased a customer-centric mindset while managing two of the biggest customer accounts, ensured a clear understanding of their needs and developed strategies to deliver service and products of the highest quality. I also successfully created and implemented supplier selection and price settings in the ERP systems to allow the Operative Purchasing Team to fulfil their objectives and place purchase orders.
