Title: "Supporting Control Room Operators through Automated Functionalities: Researching Sensor-Based Interaction Technologies”This addresses the problem related to control room operator human factors like Absence, boredom, fatigue, high workload and stress leads to safety related issues, accidents and economic loss. The purpose of this thesis was to increase the control room performance and safety by assessing the operator's’ physical and mental states using novel sensors like Microsoft Kinect and Tobii Eye Tracker. This thesis of two parts; recognition/ monitoring part and behavioral analysis part. This thesis describes the first steps to build adaptive systems using sensors and algorithms for measuring human operator physical and mental states.
