I oversaw a wide range of efforts including adaptation finance R&D, private sector engagement and high level representation at COP24 & COP25, and with actors such as the Asian Development Bank and OECD. I also serve on a Technical Expert Group of UN Climate Change

I researched and developed innovative finance mechanisms that could be used for increasing flood resilience in Indonesia. Specifically, the research focused on assessing the viability and potential blending of resilience bonds, social/development impact bonds and other financial instruments to support various flood defense practices. Outputs of this research included several briefs and a landscape study that will be published in due course; links to be added as they become public.

Together with my two co-founders, I built up Fettl-- an emerging economies renewable energy financing group developing a sustainable solution to meet the demand for widespread electrification through innovative clean energy financing.

LensShift facilitates critical reflection about privilege, power and systemic injustice in the aid and impact sector. Our platform engaged 16,000+ users in 2020 alone.

I developed operational plans and strategies that maximized AESL's social impacts of job creation in 9 low-income slum communities around Nairobi. Along with this, I mapped a funding landscape that included both grant and investment opportunities totaling to $300,000.

I established the regional office of WASH United by building a lean team to oversee programming across Sub-Saharan Africa, managing a budget of over $1 Million, and instituting and galvanizing key strategic partnerships in the region. In addition to daily program administration, I brought a level-headed approach to problem solving in a consistently high pressure environment across varying international contexts. Additional tasks included navigating stakeholder engagement with government officials for policy advocacy, strategy development, and media mobilization for high-level campaign work.In May 2016, I transitioned out of my position of Managing Director to leave an entirely local team strongly positioned to continue its work across the region.

I oversaw the implementation of a WASH In Schools program that reached over 8000 students and 300 teachers across India in the innovative model of a traveling carnival, the Nirmal Bharat Yatra. The implementation included direct school trainings surrounding sanitation and hygiene practices, training of trainers, and stakeholder engagement with local government officials to ensure sustained impact. I also coordinated with M&E partners for monitoring and evaluation of programming.

I worked on a variety of design projects in this position. These included: developing an improved cookstove design that could be manufactured with locally available materials and conducting stove-making workshops with village women who continue to propagate the technology themselves; designing and building a low-cost borewell water level sensor for watershed research leveraging local materials; and developing and conducting comprehensive soap-making workshops for multiple women’s self help group as a livelihoods initiative and to promote hand hygiene. I designed and managed the construction of a rain-harvesting system and in-ground water tank to serve a drip irrigation system.

Under a USAID Multi-Year Assistance Program, I piloted the implementation of a water catchment system in 5 communities to assess scalability and sustainability of the system. Along with overseeing this pilot, I also assisted in hydrogeological assessments for borehole drilling and curated a master database of program beneficiaries.

I remotely managed projects in El Salvador and Kenya ranging from inception to conclusion of multi-year projects. Along with managing volunteers and fundraising efforts stateside, my work included developing thorough community assessment trips to establish baseline understandings of community needs including water quality testing, community mapping and health surveys. I also managed the research, design and implementation of appropriate technologies like rain-harvesting, gravity-fed water distribution piping and horizontal water wells at project sites.
