More than twenty active trials operating at over 125 sites in the U.S. and abroad. Eighty employees collaborating with over two hundred external physicians, researchers, site staff, and knowledge workers. Oversaw all IT budgets, infrastructure, operations, projects, contracts, voice and VOIP systems, IT vendors, policies, and processes. Oversaw administration of 130+ VMWare vSphere 5 virtualized servers running on a 30TB NetApp SAN utilizing Cisco WAN acceleration appliances to facilitate off site replication and achieve full Disaster Recovery capabilities. Supported 300+ Active Directory users working on a WAN/LAN connecting the three transcontinental sites via Cisco ASA 5500 Series routers and front-ended with a Microsoft TMG firewall.● Reduced costs and administrative overhead by consolidating or retiring servers in the infrastructure from 132 down to 73 servers over the period of twelve months and successfully consolidated these servers from two datacenters down to one.● Enhanced interdepartmental and external partner collaborative capabilities by deploying SharePoint as the document management platform to host the organization’s nearly 500,000 documents, replacing Xerox Docushare software. ● Improved delivery of IT support by establishing responsive, centralized helpdesk ultimately reducing ticket turnaround time by 70% and ticket volume by 40% over the period of 30 months.
