A series of projects developing and improving Management Operating Systems within hard rock mining operations. Development of tools and processes for supporting the "Plan, Do, Check, Act" cycle including Short Interval Control, Short Term Planning and Direction, Monthly Prioritisation, and Value Driver Tree Analysis of Operations; in the areas of open-pit mining, ore processing, and fixed and mobile plant maintenance.

Contracted to Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal a greenfield coal terminal being built in Gladstone and owned by eight coal mining companies. Responsible for project managing a JDE E1 implementation for both the terminal owner and operating companies including; finance, job costing, procurement, inventory management and capital asset management functionality.Functional support delivered to a port terminal operation to optimise the configuration of JDE E1 within the areas of Project Cost Accounting, Inventory Management and the Asset Register.

Contracted to Transpacific Industries Group Ltd, an ASX200 Listed company with 4,500 employees and annual turnover in excess of $2 billion. Transpacific Industries Group provides waste management and industrial services as well as manufacturing operations. • Project Management of a JDE E1 ERP implementation for the heavy equipment manufacturing division of Transpacific Industries.• Project Management Services for a Kronos implementation across a diversified company.• Review of business processes across a range of industrial services branches.• Project team member for an enterprise data warehouse implementation. Achievements• Successfully led JDE E1 ERP implementation into the Bundaberg manufacturing site, covering 125,000 items for heavy equipment finished goods. • Project achieved in the target of 6 months project for a $40M p/a business unit.• Scope included developing and supporting master data cleansing, standard costing, bills of material development, master production scheduling and stock control practices with transitional handover to operating management.• Results achieved included $1.5M inventory reduction and improved product costings.• Delivery of system and data integrity training to shop floor staff and site management and development of work procedures.• Provision of Project Management Services for Kronos time and attendance system implementation.• Re-evaluation of project timelines and budget including development of capital expenditure justification.• Development of plans for the successful re-alignment of 8 payday / pay cycle combinations to one which aligned with company accounting and scheduling periods.• Establishment of project governance processes.• Team leadership through user acceptance testing and pilot phases of the project covering 15% of national waged workforce.• Handover of project management to national payroll manager for ongoing project delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES• Provision of Support to National Executive with data capture, analysis and reporting.• Development of Computer Systems and practices to improve business performance in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria using company wide GEAC System 21 ERP as well as other software packages such as CORVU, and MS Office.• Medium to Long Term Forecasting of Sales Demand, Raw Material Requirements and Factory Capacity • Management of National Production and Inventory Planning Department, planning daily production and inventory of more than 120 perishable finished goods items for distribution in five States through four distribution centres. • 2IC of Manufacturing Department with up to 300 staff. Responsible for all manufacturing performance reports and analysis of variances. ACHIEVEMENTS• Development and Implementation of EDI processes for Order Entry and Invoicing.• Consolidation of Management and Reporting Systems for Melbourne Plant Acquisition.• Development of capacity and forecasting models to allow Mrs. Crocket’s to consolidate all manufacturing in one plant. Approximate savings $4 million p/a.• Management of production and inventory planning process during Sydney Plant shut down and consolidation in Brisbane was conducted with no impact on customer service levels.• Redesign of Management Operating Systems to improve the flow of management information through Customer Service, Production and Purchasing Department resulting in improvements in productivity and managerial effectiveness worth approximately $1 million p/a.• Introduction of Sales and Operations Planning Process. • Project management and implementation of changeover to a new customer service computer system for New South Wales Manufacturing, Purchasing, Customer Service and Distribution Departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES• Logistics Planning and Purchasing of local parts and low cost items. More than 4800 line items from more than 150 suppliers in Australia and Europe. ACHIEVEMENTS• Reduction of overdue deliveries from more than 200 line items to less than 50 line items• Reduction of line shortages by approximately 95%.
