As a CMA Float, I roomed patients and performed point-of-care testing for multiple Internal Medicine providers. I cross-trained for Front Desk and Call Center duties. Used Athena EMR software to access patient charts, locate information, pend medications, initiate prior authorizations, and respond to messages.

To assist the medical staff, and build a new skill, I adopted the role of Part-time Medical Scribe with limited E/M Coder and billing responsibilities. I learned to accurately provide electronic documentation of the physician's assessment, plan, and related orders during in-office visits with patients.
