In this role, I provide strategic guidance and direction of BRAF’s core programmatic work and am responsible for the design, implementation, and management of programs: abortion funding, practical support, caller engagement, clinic engagement, and volunteer programs.

-Provide compassionate, non-judgmental, trauma-informed support to 30-60 callers each week by coordinating abortion funding and practical support, including lodging, childcare, travel logistics, and other needs, as well as advocating on behalf of callers and making referrals to other abortion funds, practical support organizations, and providers-Manage all aspects of caller intake, including: reviewing, triaging, and assigning calls to intake coordinators; monitoring and adhering to weekly $20,000 abortion funding and practical support budget; and collecting, maintaining, and reporting caller/program data to demonstrate impact and guide strategic planning/goal setting-Serve as primary liaison for clinics, abortion funds, practical support organizations, and other community partners-Manage caller Salesforce database, Penny, and serve as staff representative on database steering committee with NNAF and other regional fund partners-Serve on strategic planning team in collaboration with staff leadership, board of directors, and The Spark Mill consulting team-Mentor and support intake team, providing training around caller engagement best practices and training/technical assistance with Freshdesk customer service software, Dialpad phone system, Penny Salesforce database, Slack, and Google Workspace

-Managed community counseling agency serving 600+ clients with a budget of $400K annually, overseeing daily administrative operations including financial management & fiscal strategy, budget development, and HR-Supervised 4 FT therapists, 4 PT therapists, 1 FT office manager, and 3-5 clinical interns/semester-Collaborated with clinical director and board of directors to formulate counseling and administrative policies and procedures and provided all policy/procedure oversight-Coordinated marketing, public relations, partnerships, and events including the inaugural Athens Mental Health Conference, which hosted more than 50 local mental health practitioners and stakeholders to explore mental health issues in our community-Oversaw legal and administrative dissolution of organization upon closure in spring 2019

-Established 501(c)3 organization to provide abortion funding and logistical assistance to abortion seekers throughout Georgia and the southeastern U.S.-Worked directly with 10-20 clients/week to assess funding and logistical needs, offer compassionate, non-judgmental support, and refer when necessary to additional service agencies and/or reproductive health clinics-Assessed local reproductive healthcare needs through community needs evaluations, outreach to reproductive health care providers, and client feedback-Guided strategic planning efforts to expand organizational reach and built partnerships with abortion providers, policy makers, donors, foundations, and other social justice organizations

-Managed nonprofit scholarship program for low-income, non-traditional women students by developing/maintaining relationships with 50-90 scholars annually and more than 700 alumnae across the U.S.; disbursing scholarship awards and coordinating payments with financial aid offices; collecting and reporting program data; overseeing the scholarship application and selection process; and maintaining scholar records-Developed and implemented Alumnae Outreach Project to reconnect with program alumnae, resulting in creation of Alumnae Advisory Board (AAB), and coordinated AAB to include scholar alumnae in all levels of organizational leadership-Designed training curriculum and trained/coordinated 200+ volunteers annually for scholarship application review-Developed, implemented, and managed program’s first online application and review system to increase program efficiency and better meet the needs of applicants and volunteers
