Fayetteville Events is coming with a plan to create a website that pools all of the local events, the local event services, and vending opportunities into one website. A place where a person who wants to put on an event can find all of the resources they need to do that, where a person who vends at events can find events to vend at easily as well as what to expect when they vend there, as well as a place where people can find what’s happening locally.

After years enjoying the business side of my career, I came back to what inspires me, art. With my husband Marcos Mata, we created a gallery space in Downtown Fayetteville. Alter Egos was created to be a beacon of creativity and love for our community. The space is not only for artists, but for those also in need of a creative release. We make art accessible and fun for all ages and skill levels by providing fine art classes, children's programs, and even Pinterest DIY parties. We aren't stopping there, we believe in all forms of art. From music to interpretive dance, all art forms are welcome in our space. We also have detox Sundays where we feature events like yoga, meditation, healthy living courses, and more. This is a true labor of love and we believe in blessing the community with it.Upstairs we have studio space for artists and crafters who need space to create. Studio space in Fayetteville is very limited, so we created something that would be affordable, and right in the midst of the great art that's being created in Fayetteville. We do a month to month lease, allowing the artists the flexibility to come and go as they please. Small businesses also use us as a virtual office which works great for getting them seen on Google Maps. We are just excited to help everyone grow and succeed. As the Event Planner I was responsible for booking large events and maximizing revenue and company visibility. I specialized in weddings and ticketed events, helping my clients create the event of their dreams, and see beyond the "box" to create something new and unique just for them. The Chef (Reginald Pelt) and I spent time creating seasonal and custom menus for our brides and distinguished clients who wanted more than a simple meal- they wanted an experience. Through this experience I learned a completely new side of hospitality, working closely with our banquet staff, because I believe no matter the title you help when help is needed, and I am not above carrying a table to help a client get what they are asking for.
