After graduating with a B.A. in Accounting from Rutgers University, April spent six years in public accounting at JH Cohn, LLP (now CohnReznick, LLP) working in audit and tax for a wide array of clients from manufacturing to financial services. From JH Cohn she spent six years at Northport Partnership Management (a fund administrator in the alternative investment space) as a Controller for Private Equity Fund and Employee Plans. Northport was later acquired by Credit Suisse Securitie USA where she enjoyed another seven years working as a Controller in the Private Equity Division. Through her career she has been active in mentoring others and animal welfare.

➢ Responsible for leading a team of seven people providing financial, management and tax reporting for the Alternative Investments Group’s private equity joint venture relationships. Joint venture funds include specialized products such as infrastructure; clean energy as well as funds domiciled in the Middle East. Assets under management range from $500 million to $5 billion.• Oversee the preparation and review of partnerships’ annual and quarterly financial statements as well as partner capital statements• Coordinate and oversee all limited partner communications including capital calls, distribution notices, quarterly updates, fund extensions, fund amendments, and annual meeting presentations➢ Act as controller for funds in start-up phase, and help build infrastructure for management companies and funds.• Assist in setting policies and procedures for best business practices• Assist in preparing budgets and board presentations• Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements • Evaluate vendors and set up payroll and benefits for employees • Assist in building website/platform for limited partner reporting• Implement web based travel and entertainment/deal tracking and payment system➢ Bank related responsibilities• Review limited partnership agreements, and prepare economic models for potential joint venture opportunities• Identify accounting needs for new products; hire and train staff accordingly• Ensure business deals with joint venture partners are in accordance with legal documents • Review and perform top level SOX sign off• Participate in business presentations at satellite office
