Increase organizational capacity of local Habitat for Humanity organizations statewide through executive director coaching, board training, in-person and online professional development, VISTA program, and other technical assistance with a significant emphasis on strategic planning, volunteer management, resource development, and financial management. Project manager for the development and implementation of statewide Habitat Homeowner Impact Study. In this role, I build relationships with staff and board leadership at all affiliates in MN; together we diagnose problems and design customized improvement plans for each organization. Through many networking events, I help make connections between affiliates for shared learning and resource sharing.

Support mission of MPM through the direction of the Training Institute which offers technical assistance, consultation and training support to help start, maintain and sustain quality mentoring initiatives, and to prepare both mentors and mentees to make the most of their mentoring relationships. Instrumental in development and implementation of innovative quality assessment process for mentoring programs. Spearheaded and provided project management for national collaborative webinar series.

Directed all programming for school-aged children and teens at St. Paul JCC, including after school and school’s out programming, teen drop-in center, youth employment training, sports & recreation, theater and arts, cultural experiences, mentoring and leadership programs. Assisted with planning, staffing and overall direction of 8-week summer camp program serving grades K-8. Responsible for all summer camp programming for teens, supervision of specialist staff and office manager, coordination of camp transportation, and camp staff training.

Advocate for under-represented children and families in Nobles County schools and community through prevention programs, intervention efforts, and support. Core member of community-wide planning teams, including youth asset building initiative and diversity coalition. Created & directed CIRCLE Mentoring Program, an intensive, targeted early intervention program that incorporates youth mentors in an effort to build resiliency and assets in highest risk youth. Authored and presented 20 hour CIRCLE mentor orientation curriculum.

Responsible for all aspects of Community Education Enrichment Classes and Activities including catalog design, promotion, and management of 30-40 instructors. Created District 518 Community Education web site, managed budget and authored quarterly and annual program analyses.

 Facilitated after-school and summer programming for youth. Created Joyful Girls, a leadership program for targeted 4-6 grade girls; and Heroes, a program linking disadvantaged children with community mentors for “goal-inspiring” activities. One of five members of statewide AmeriCorps council selected to meet Vice President Al Gore. Presented at AmeriCorps statewide training. Nominated to national AmeriCorps Leaders Program.
