After 2 years in Buffalo, I was ready to make a change. And when my childhood friend, Kathy Walgren, made the leap to open her own upcycled shop in Wayzata, it seemed like the perfect chance to continue to do what I love to do but closer to home. I enjoy the comradery of the vendors at Katrina's Upcycled Furnishings and the input that we have into the business. Here I truly feel a part of a team.I am also looking for opportunities to create upcycled custom pieces for homeowners through independant contracting work. Upcycling has always interested me and I consider it my contribution to the environment. There are so many great pieces out there that just need some updating, TLC and a little creativity. My business goal is to work with Interior Designers and other interested individuals to create unique pieces for their clients . I have always loved to craft and create. With four children to raise it was my quiet time to do something for myself. My family and friends have always been a great support system in my ventures and when my passions to try new things outgrew my house and their houses, I created Scrap Savvi to share my pieces with others.Specialties: Creative vision, mosaic tiling, painted furniture, indoor faux painting, creating home decor using multiple art mediums, organizational skills.
