Prof. Andrea Pucci received his M.S. degree in Chemistry (1999) and his, Ph.D., (2003) in Chemical Science from the University of Pisa (Italy).From 2002 to 2011 he carried out research activity at the University of Pisa as a post-doc fellow and research assistant at international research centres such as theCentre of Molecular and Macromolecular Studies, Polish Academy of Science, Lodz, Poland, the ETH and University of Zurich, Switzerland and the University ofManchester, UK. In December 2011 he joined the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry of the University of Pisa as a Research Associate (Assistant Professor level) and he has been appointed as an associate professor in 2015 and as a full professor in 2022. His most recent scientific interests are expressed in the field of polymeric materials science with particular attention to the preparation, modification and characterization of mono-or multiphase polymer systems with functional properties for applications such as active and intelligent materials responsive to external stimuli of various kinds, or for applications in the energy field.He has co-authored more than 150 peer-reviewed international journals (H-index 32), 1 book, 6 book chapters, 5 patents and more than 100 communications at National and International Conferences. His most recent scientific interests are expressed in the field of polymeric materials science with particular attention to the preparation, modification and characterization of mono-or multiphase polymer systems with functional properties for applications such as active and intelligent materials responsive to external stimuli of various kinds, or for applications in the energy field.
