As a full-time, licensed REALTOR® in both Kansas and Missouri, I recently joined Weichert, Realtors Welch & Company located in Overland Park, KS. I am a registered member of the Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors (KCRAR) and National Association of Realtors (NAR).Building upon unique skillsets from a 30-year career in higher education and collegiate athletics as a longtime coach, educator and athletic administrator, I’m looking forward to continuing to serve and help people through the significant transition and important life change that comes with buying and selling their home. As a servant leader and educator at heart, my character, commitment and the skills I’ve learned and developed throughout my professional career are the foundation upon which I help people navigate their real estate needs.Along with real estate, I also do part-time contract work for the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference, focused on student-athlete and Senior Woman Leader development and special projects supporting the commissioner and 14 NAIA institutions. Previously, I served 19 years as the Director of Athletics for Ottawa University (KS) before transitioning out of my role in September 2023. During that time, I led an athletic department team that grew to a staff of over 100 including coaches, graduate assistants, volunteers, and administrative support staff while supporting and advocating for the growth and needs of over 900 student-athletes competing in 33 intercollegiate athletic programs.During my tenure as AD, we expanded and grew the athletic department helping the institution grow to over 1,000 students in fall 2023, a record high since 1969. From 2008 we strategically expanded our athletic offerings and grew rosters from 13 intercollegiate athletic programs to 33 programs including the most recent additions of esports and now a 4x national invitational champion women's flag football team. As of August 2023, 950 student athletes were participating in 33 Braves athletic programs. Prior to moving into my administrative role 1996-2007, I served as the head women's basketball coach leading 3 teams to the national tournament and held faculty rank as an Associate Professor in HPER while advising students and assisting with internships and practicum placements and experiences.I'm a proud alumna of William Jewell College 1992 and the University of Kansas 1996. My undergraduate degrees are in English and Exercise Science with a master’s degree in education with concentrations in Sports Administration, Sports Psychology.
