Ever since I was in high school, my passion for business, particularly economics, has driven my academic journey. I became captivated by my first economic course in college when the professor introduced the economic principles and how it influences everything from individual financial decisions to global market trends. Now, as a Senior majoring in Economics, I have deepened my understanding on key concepts such as market dynamics, supply and demand, and my personal favorite fiscal policy.College has brought me various opportunities to apply my passion for economics and business in real-world settings. During my internship with DASNY, I have worked on recruitments, learned about labor compliance law and employee benefits, and improve my analytical skills as well. I have worked on various excel projects where I was asked to compress / create data and give brief reports. Working on all these projects has given me a deeper understanding of HR strategies and trends. Also my past internship working on a re-election campaign, I gained firsthand exposure to the political process and its intersection with local economic policies. Not only that but I I interacted with communities and learned about the economic challenges they were facing. This helped me understand the importance of how economic issues influence political platforms and data-driven strategies in voter outreach. This combination of HR and political campaign experience has equipped me with a unique perspective on how economic and social policies impact both business and individuals. I am excited to continue applying these skills in roles focused on economic research human capital management, or policy research.
